We know that
applying the Pythagoras theorem
LM²=LV²+VM²
LM is the radius of the circle
LV=5 in
VM=12/2----> 6 in
so
LM²=5²+6²-----> LM²=61------> LM=7.81 in------> LM=7.8 in

the answer is
7.8 in

A dripping faucet loses about 2.5×10^−4 litres of water each minute. There are approximately 3×10^5 minutes in a month.
Scilla [17]

Answer:

7.5 litres.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of water lost in 1 month = 2.5 * 10^-4 * 3 * 10^5

= 2.5 * 3 * 10^(-4+5)

= 7.5 * 10^1

= 7.5 litres (answer)

What is the distance between the y-intercepts of the lines? Adding a picture please help
DerKrebs [107]

The equation of a line is:

y = mx + c

The m is the gradient of the line, and the c is the y-intercept of the line

That means that the y-intercept of [y = -4x + 3] is 3

and the y-intercept of [y = -4x + 4] is 4

So the distance between the two y-intercepts is:

4 - 3 = 1
