Choose the correct conic section to fit the equation.x 2+ y 2= 9A. CircleB. EllipseC. ParabolaD. Hyperbola
poizon [28]

we have to choose the correct conic section to fit the equation.x ^2+ y^ 2= 9. we know the equation of a circle is x^2 + y^2 = r^2

and if we compare both the equations we find that both are similar and we can even find the value of r by comparing both the equations.

So the correct conic section is circle

tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

1.) 7(3+5) = [7x3] + [7x5] 2.) 15-10 = [-5] (3+2)

Step-by-step explanation:

In the first problem, if you look at the way it is put together, you have to multiply 7 times 3, and then 7 times 5 (the answers in the boxes for the first problem would be the answer and technically the other way to write them, and it's also how your supposed to solve the problem.)

In the second problem, you can see that like the first problem, there is a number outside a pair of parentheses with two numbers inside with a plus sign. Now, the plus sign does not mean that you have to add the numbers inside the parentheses, it is just a way of saying that the second number inside the parentheses is positive. No that you have that down, all you have to do is figure out what is the number outside the pair of parentheses, and to do that, you have to just add in numbers in order, and see what equals the 15-10!

Hope this helped!

Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

  • x = 22.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution of the given equation

  • -124 + 4 7/8x = -10 - 1/8x
  • 4 7/8x + 1/8x = -10 + 124 ⇒ added 1/8x + 124 to both sides
  • 5x = 114
  • x = 114/5
  • x = 22.8

Hector's mistakes

  • 4 7/8x on left hand side becomes 4 6/8x as 1/8x was subtracted
  • -10 becomes -9 on right hand side for no reason
