1) The subject of the image is the lady. I know that because everything behind her is blurred.

2) The photographer uses the background to show where the lady is. In this instance, it looks like she is in a pedestrian plaza that has a lot of old buildings.

3) The "lines" that lead me to the photograph are the lines between the cobblestones, which make up the foreground
