Answer:

set width as a, so length is 2a-4

a(2a-4)=70

2a^2 - 4a = 70

a^2 - 2a = 35

a^2 - 2a + 1 = 36

(a-1)^2 = 36 Because width can not be negative so we only take possitive answer.

(a-1) = 6

a = 7

2(7) - 4

=14-4

=10

Length = 10

Width = 7

Last year, Goran biked 384 miles. This year he biked c miles, using c write an expression for the total number of miles he biked
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

384 + c = m.

Step-by-step explanation:

You can use another variable such as t to represent "total." I used m to represent total "miles." The variable you use to represent the total shouldn't matter but these two variables make the most sense. 384 for last year's miles plus c, which is this year's miles, equals the total miles. A very simple, straight forward and easy equation to write.

Perform this operation and report the answer to the correct number of significant figures: What is the mass of a cube of aluminu
KIM [24]
The answer is 172.8 g.

The volume of the cube (V) is:
V = a³ (a - the side of the cube)

The density (D) is quotient of mass (m) and volume (V):
D = m/V = m/a³
⇒ m = D · a³

It is given:
D = 2.7 g/cm³
a = 4 cm
Therefore:
m =  D · a³ = 2.7 · 4³ = 172.8 g

True [87]

Answer;

-Progressive tax

Explanation;

-According to this type of tax system, the taxes assessed are based on the taxable amount, and follow an increasing schedule. High-income earners pay more than low-income earners, and the tax rate, along with tax liability, increases as an individual or entity's wealth increases.

-Therefore; higher earners pay a higher percentage of taxes and more money in taxes than do lower-income earners .
