<h3><u>A</u><u>n</u><u>s</u><u>w</u><u>e</u><u>r</u><u>:</u><u>-</u></h3>

Let

  • Width of rectangle=x
  • Length of rectangle=2x
  • Perimeter=432cm

We know that in a rectangle

☆ Perimeter=2(Length+Breadth)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 2(x+2x)=432

\\ \sf\longmapsto 2x+4x=432

\\ \sf\longmapsto 6x=432

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\dfrac{432}{6}

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=72

\\ \sf\longmapsto 2x=2(72)=144

  • Length=144cm
  • Breadth=72cm

☆Area=Length×Breadth

\\ \sf\longmapsto Area=144\times 72

\\ \sf\longmapsto Area=10368cm^2

Question is below help needed
RoseWind [281]

The common ratio of both the formulas is 3 and 2. The first formula is explicit and the second is the recursive formula.

<h3>What is the recursive rule?</h3>

A rule is defined such that its definition includes itself.

1.

The given sequence is

-2, -6, -18, -54

Common ratio ;

r = -6 / -2 = 3

a _ n =-2 (3) ^{n-1}

This given formula is the explicit formula.

2.

The given sequence is

4, 8, 16, 32

Common ratio ;

r = 8 / 4 = 2

a_n = a_{n-1}.2\\\\a _1 = 4

This given formula is the recursive formula.

Draw a diagram that shows 1/5 times 30 equals 6
MrMuchimi

Total number = 30

1/5 of 30 = 1/5 x 30 = 6

The attached figures show the total number of filled circles in five lines. Each line have “6” filled circles.

So 5 lines having 6 filled circles = 5 x 6 = 30

<span>Every line represents “1/5” of total amount “30”. Which proved that 1/5 of 30 is equal to 6. </span>

Help me please ahhhhh

<h3>Answers:</h3>
  • ST = 23
  • RU = 8
  • SV = 5
  • SU = 10

====================================================

Explanation:

Focus on triangles SVT and UVT.

They are congruent triangles due to the fact that SV = VU and VT = VT. From there we can use the LL (leg leg) theorem for right triangles to prove them congruent.

Since the triangles are the same, just mirrored, this means ST = UT = 23.

-----------------------

Following similar reasoning as the previous section, we can prove triangle RVU = triangle RVS.

Therefore, RS = RU = 8

-----------------------

SV = VU = 5 because RT bisects SU.

Bisect means to cut in half. The two smaller pieces are equal.

-----------------------

SU = SV + VU = 5+5 = 10

Refer to the segment addition postulate.
