If she found that 0.96 of the students supported a plan to shorten the school day by 15 minutes, the portion of student that did not support will be expressed as;
= 1-0.96
= 0.04
The expression as a decimal is 0.04
As a fraction;
0.04 = 4/100
4/100 = 1/25
Hence the expression as a fraction in its simplest form is 1/25
