An essay is a type of writing which is written to convince a person of something or to simply inform the readers about a particular topic which could be anything. In order for the readers to be convinced or adequately informed, the essay must include some of the several important components to make it flow in a logical way which can be easily understood.
A good paragraph begins with a topic sentence which briefly explains what the paragraph is all about. Next, comes the few sentences for development and support of the main topic and it elaborates the topic with more detailed explanation. Paragraphs end with a conclusive sentence that summarizes the topic or presents one final piece of support to wrap up the whole idea.
