I say this because sometimes talking to someone (like a psychologist) can help do something to solve the problem that students has. Sometimes talking to someone isn't the best option for that student. The problem they currently may become even worse if they say something. It also depends on how severe the problem is. The problem may be something they feel about a family members death, or getting a bad grade. In other cases, problems may be that the student suffers from abuse or how the family is doing financially.
