<span>Father Monserrate belongs to Portugal, who was invited by Akbar the great for his court in order to know the christian beliefs and studies. By invitation Father Monserrate (1536‒1600) visited Akbar's court accompanied with two other priests, Father Rodolfo Acquaviva and Father Francisco Enriquez, on the first Jesuit mission. The necessity of christian study was that Akbar organised a new religion called Din i lakhi , in din i lakhi, akbar, collected all good morals in all religion . In india during pre - british period there is no christianity in India. So he invites Father Monserrate and his crew to India to collect the morals in Christianity.
