Answer:

b. 15.39 L

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

reacting mass of the Nitrogen gas N₂, m = 42 g

pressure of the gas, P = 2 atm

temperature of the gas, T = 250 K

molar mass of Nitrogen, N = 14 g/mol

molar mass of Nitrogen gas N₂, M = 28 g/mol

number of moles of the given Nitrogen gas;

n = \frac{Reacting \ mass}{Molar \ mass} = \frac{m}{M} \\\\n = \frac{42 \ g}{28 \ g/mol} = 1.5 \ mol.

The volume occupied by the Nitrogen gas can be calculated from Ideal gas law;

PV = nRT

where;

V is the volume of the gas

R is ideal gas constant = 0.0821 atm.L / mol.K

From the equation above, make V the subject of the formula;

V = \frac{nRT}{P} \\\\V = \frac{1.5\ mol. \ \times \ 0.0821 \ atm.L/mol.K \ \times \ 250 \ K}{2 \ atm} \\\\V = 15.39 \ L

Therefore, the volume occupied by the Nitrogen gas is 15.39 L

There are 9cans that can store 45 tennis balls what is the constant of the proportionality for this situation
Lapatulllka [165]
Let the total number of cans be x and the total number of tennis balls be y,

Since increasing the total number of cans causes the total number of tennis balls to increase too, x and y is direct in proportion.

Let the constant be k,
y = kx
45 = k9
k = 45/9
= 5

The constant of the proportionality for this situation is 5.

What are the solutions to the quadratic equation x^2-15x+36=0
ZanzabumX [31]
X² - 15 x + 36 = 0
x² - 12x - 3x + 36 = 0
x( x - 12) - 3( x - 12) = 0
(x - 3)( x - 12) = 0

x - 3 = 0
x = 3
or
x - 12 = 0
x = 12

The solutions are 3 and 12

Af1=\dfrac{b\cdot h}{2} \cdot 4\\\\\\Af1=\dfrac{\dfrac{9}{2} \cdot 4}{2} \cdot 4\\\\\\Af1=\dfrac{\dfrac{36}{2} }{2} \cdot 4\\\\\\Af1=\dfrac{18}{2} \cdot 4\\\\Af1=9\cdot 4\\\\Af1=36~m^2

Af2=l^2\\\\Af2=(\dfrac{9}{2})^2\\\\\ Af2=\dfrac{81}{4}\\\\Af2=20,25~m^2
