Answer:

64

Explanation:

Nitrogen combines directly with oxygen at very high temperatures to form nitrogen(ii) oxide. This is the reaction that occurs during lightning flashes. Atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen combines during the high temperatures obtained in lightning flashes to form nitrogen (ii) oxide.

Equation of the reaction is given below:

N(g) + O(g) ---> 2NO(g)

From the equation of the reaction, 1 mole of nitrogen gas combines with one mole of oxygen gas to produce 2 moles of nitrogen (ii) oxide.

Therefore, 2 moles of oxygen gas will react with 2 moles of nitrogen gas

Mass of oxygen gas that is 2 moles of the gas is obtained from the formula; mass = number of moles * molar mass

Molar mass of oxygen gas = 32.0 g/mol

Mass of 2 moles of oxygen gas = 2 * 32.0 = 56 g

Therefore, the mass of oxygen required in grams is 64

based on observational evidence, variations in the color of flamingos appears to be determined by their diet, an not their genes
lidiya [134]

In order to make a proper investigation using the scientific method we have to follow the following statements.

  • Create three or more groups of flamingos. One control group were the flamingos will be fed by their occasional diet. A second group with a diet with no artificial or natural dye, as β-Carotene, which is high present in seaweeds. The third group will have a diet with a high amount of β-Carotene.
  • The color of the groups will be analyzed to see the changing of pigmentation by time. If the group which is fed by B-Carotene increases the pigmentation, it might indicate a diet factor.
  • As counterproof, a sample of DNA of the groups has to be taken. If is there any pattern between the groups of no-colored flamingos and a pattern of colored ones. It can indicate a genetic factor. If not, the diet can be responsible for it.

pantera1 [17]

Answer:

1.2 million plants and animals

Explanation:

The living organisms have been grouped into two kingdom

a) Plants

b) Animal

Earth has enormous varieties of living species ranging from microscopic bacterias to huge animals like elephants, rhinoceros, from water plants and animals to terrestrial plants and animals , from autotrophic to heterotrophic organisms, from forest biome to desert biome etc.

In totality, there are 8.7 million species of plants and animals on earth. But till today only 1.2 million species have been identified and described.
