B: The east trying to weaken the west by starving them out of the city. But the US came in clutch and was helping them by flying over the easts blockade

C: Stalin thought that the U.S would come on the ground and try to destroy the blockade

D: NATO and Warsaw Pact

E: NATO fueled the west's military against the USSR and the warsaw pact basically... if one member state was attacked all the other memeber states would help defend them.
