The answer to this question is going to be option "A" or "region of the Great Plains exposed to strong winds and loss of soil". The Dust Bowl was known as the "Dirty Thirties" it was a period of severe dust storms that damaged the ecology and agriculture of American and Canadian prairies during the 1930's failure to do dry land farming methods was a result of "wind erosion" which caused the events,  It came in three waves 1934, 1936, and 1939-40.
