During World War I, there were two major sets of alliances in Europe, these would be the two warring sides in World War I. Britain, France, and Russia were one alliance while Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy were another alliance.

Martin Luther, a religious leader benefited from this technology during the Protestant Reformation. He used it to reached people and share the gospel to other people.
He believed a government should protect the rights of citizens. He also thought man was inherently selfish; this why government should protect people. With that, he believed in checks and balances was necessary to prevent any group of people becoming more powerful than another.
