The Caste System of India. Caste not only dictates one's occupation, but dietary habits and interaction with members of other castes as well. Members of a high caste enjoy more wealth and opportunities while members of a low caste perform menial jobs. Outside of the caste system are the Untouchables.

Buddha denounced the caste system and taught that a person's actions are the measure of who a person is, whether a priest or outcast. He denounced the authority of Brahmin priests, their scripture and their rituals. ... It is not an easy system to abolish, even with the force of law. Buddhism and Hinduism agree on karma, dharma, moksha and reincarnation. They are different in that Buddhism rejects the priests of Hinduism, the formal rituals, and the caste system.

aleksandr82 [10.1K]

United states was successful in purchasing many thousands square miles of land from France and it was called Louisiana Purchase. But most of the lands which were bought were not being explored and hence under the term of Thomas Jefferson, congress granted permission to Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to undertake an expedition to explore the west.

Explanation:

The corps left from St. Louis harbored near Mississippi and explored Portland and Oregon, they wrote the first report to Thomas Jefferson regarding the encounter of various Native american tribes and about 108 new plants and animal species that were found in the west. The confrontation with the Tetons and Sioux, tribes were largely peaceful and thus it paced way for them to study the geography and the cultural differences of the native Americans who resided in the great plains of West. Lewis and Clark expedition provided a great knowledge about the Geographical, physical and cultural features of the west and they produced around Hundred and forty maps which helped the future people to explore the west.

Which turning point do you think had the greatest impact on the great war?
DanielleElmas [232]

Answer:

 • First Battle of Marne—The Turning Point of WW1 (great war)

The First Battle of the Marne (also known as the Miracle of the Marne) was a World War I battle fought from September 5 to September 12, 1914. It was a Franco-British victory against the German army under German Chief of Staff Helmuth von Moltke the Younger.

The battle of the Marne was a major turning point of World War I. By the end of August 1914, the whole Allied army on the Western Front had been forced into a general retreat back towards Paris. Meanwhile the two main German armies continued through France. It seemed that Paris would be taken as both the French and the British fell back towards the Marne River.

 • Battle of Stalingrad—The Turning Point of WW2

In 1942, Hitler sent an army south in an attempt to capture the Soviet Russian city that had been renamed after the Soviet leader Josef Stalin. Thus, on July 7, started the largest, deadliest, most destructive battle ever fought in the history of warfare.

Generally argued to be the most significant turning point of the war, the Battle of Stalingrad was one of the Wehrmacht's most ambitious operations, in which they committed, and lost, over 400,000 soldiers.

The great strategic turning points in World War 2 , here is my list, explained :

 • Great Britain and France declare war. ...
 • The Battle of Britain. ...
 • The Battle of Moscow. ...
 • Pearl Harbor. ...
 • Midway. ...
 • Stalingrad and Kursk. ...
 • Admiral Max Horton gets command. ...
 • Long range fighters.
