Answer:

there are many consequences of not addressing poverty. my number one reason is that while years go on there will be more people on the streets which means there's more likely to be more crimes because people dont have there own. Another reason why theres consequences of not addressing poverty is its bad for the economy i say this because people who witness poverty are most likely not to get a job at a interview and during this time we need workers for trucking fast food, dealers etc.

Talja [164]

Answer:

A) the freedom of press guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Explanation:

"Watergate" refers to efforts by persons working for President Nixon's reelection campaign to spy on their opponents at Democratic party headquarters, and subsequent efforts to cover up those crimes.

An insider at the FBI who remained anonymous at the time, known only as "Deep Throat," began to give information concerning Watergate to reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of the Washington Post. Persistent investigative reporting by Woodward and Bernstein brought the scandal to light and forced Congressional hearings. The freedom of the press played a central role in the road to the impeachment of President Nixon.

The Dawes Severalty Act (1887) A) failed in its intended purpose. B) established the reservation system. C) made Native American
Kamila [148]

Answer:

C. Made the Native Americans citizens of the US is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The Dawes Act of 1887 was passed to divide the tribal lands so that the land could be given to the Native american heads and individuals so that the traditional system of landholdings can be transformed into system of private property under government control so that the tribal could have capitalist relationship with property. The act was named after senator Henry L. Dawes of Massachusetts. It was amended in 1891 and 1906. The Dawes commission has already been set up in 1893 to to exclude the Indians under the act so that they could agree for the allotment plan. The commission was first to register the members of five civilised tribes and other Indians. The jurisdiction of tribal land was abolished by the Curtis Act. The Dawes act managed to end the reservation system of the Indians and granted the citizenship to all the native Americans who accepted land grants.
