Napoleon Bonaparte sparked the Latin American revolutions by "Invading Spain." This is evident in the fact that Spain colonized the whole of Latin America (or South America except Brazil).
Thus, following his invasion of Spain, and the sacking of the Spanish king, in the early 1800s, the Latin Americans sensed the weakness of Spain and, demanded independence which sparked Latin American Revolution.
