Take shorthand notes as you listen critically to part of President Barack Obama’s inaugural address.
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

On President Barack Obama's inaugural address, he exalts America ancestors, and forty-four presidents before him. Their strength in the face of adversity. Also reflects on the prosperity and calm that America has lived through these presidents, but it calls attention to the times of crisis in which sometimes the oath was made.

He speaks of wars, times of violence and hatred, and of a weakened nation. That it is necessary to make difficult choices to prepare the nation for a new era.

Also he remembers that generations have faced  wars, fascism, communism, but had won not only with missiles, but alliances, convictions, and values. Qualities like humility and moderation. Power alone can't change things, but is necessary prudent use; that security emanates from the justice, and strength of their example, as a nation.

What are the similarities and differences between how people responded to epidemics in the past versus how people respond today?
satela [25.4K]
Well one difference that you could say is the political division that takes a toll on people during an epidemic/pandemic. Many communities treat certain diseases or global viruses as a political debate- creating groups of anti government- anti protections- anti epidemic/pandemic etc. There’s a lot of rebellion within our community today.

Something they have in common (using our current pandemic in comparison) is the 1918 swine flu. There was research including respiratory transmission, causing people to wear and promote mask wearing, similar to today, it almost caused a new in pop culture at the time.

Which of the following is an example of inductive reasoning?
lakkis [162]

The accurate example of inductive reasoning among the options is it has snowed every day this week, so it will likely snow tomorrow. Furthermore, inductive reasoning is about a wide generalization from detailed observations.

EXPLANATION:

Inductive reasoning, as known as induction, is one of two fundamental types of inference. It is a reasonable relationship between two declarations: the first one is known as the premise, while the second one is known as a conclusion and ought to face a kind of reasonable relationship with the premise.

Induction, particularly, is an inference in accordance with reasonable probabilities. The conclusion may also be true if the premise is true. This is the opposite of deductive conclusions, where the inference must be true if the premise is.

Examples

Premise: The sun has set in the West and risen in the East.

Conclusion: The sun will perhaps endure to set in the West and rise in the East.

Typically, inductive reasoning produces general conclusions from specific premises. They started with a particular observation of a pattern, and after that, deduce that there is a general rule. For instance, most people know the general rule in the example above: the sun constantly rises and sets in the same way. This rule is getting along with a large accumulation of points of data, not to mathematical "evidence" or derivatives of the other abstract rules.
