The equation line l is given by the equation y= 7/4x+3. line m goes through the point ( –1,4) and is perpendicular to line l whi
mr_godi [17]

We determine line m as follows:

*First, by theorem we have the following:

m_1=-\frac{1}{m_2}

Here m1 & m2 are the slopes of two perpendicular lines. For all lines that are perpendicular that is true, so we calculate the slope of line m using the slope of the function given [Which has a slope of 7/4]:

m_1=-\frac{1}{\frac{7}{4}}\Rightarrow m_1=-\frac{4}{7}

So, the slope of line m is -4/7. Now, using this slope and the point (-1, 4) we replace in the following expression:

y-y_1=m_1(x-x_1)

Here x1, y1 & m1 are the x-component of the point, the y-component of the point, and the slope of the line respectively, so we replace and solve for y:

y-4=-\frac{4}{7}(x-(-1))\Rightarrow y-4=-\frac{4}{7}x-\frac{4}{7}\Rightarrow y=-\frac{4}{7}x+\frac{24}{7}

And that last function of y is the line m.

Hi! Got a question!!
Rasek [7]

To convert cm³ to m³, you can break down the units.

cm³ = cm x cm x cm

Each cm is converted to m so :

m³ = m x m x m

= 1/100 x 1/100 x 1/100

= 0.000001

So, 1cm³ is 0.000001m³, so to convert cm³ to m³ you divide your value by 1,000,000 and vice versa.

1. 0.35m³

2. 8m³

3. 43.34m³

4. 30m³

5. 0.77m³

Someone please tell me what to do
kifflom [539]
For this, we need to find the area of the larger rectangle (The room) and subtract from that the area of the smaller, shaded rectangle (The rug).
A=LW (L=Length, W=Width, A=Area)

The larger rectangle first:
A=(15)(10)
A=150 feet squared

Now the Rug:
A=(12)(7)
A=84 feet squared

Now to find the area that is NOT covered by the rug, we subtract:
150-84
= 66 feet squared will NOT be covered by the rug.

Hope this Helps!

There are nine squares in a 3 x 3 square grid. Four of them will be painted white, how many will be painted black?
amid [387]

Answer:

5 squares will be painted black.

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 9 squares, and 4 of them will be painted white, so that means that the remaining squares will be painted black. 9-4=5, so 5 squares will be painted black.

Hope this helped! :)
