Answer:

Explanation:

Given textual and archaeological evidence, it is thought that thousands of Europeans lived in Imperial China during the period of Mongol rule.[1] These were people from countries traditionally belonging to the lands of Christendom during the High to Late Middle Ages who visited, traded, performed Christian missionary work, or lived in China. This occurred primarily during the second half of the 13th century and the first half of the 14th century, coinciding with the rule of the Mongol Empire, which ruled over a large part of Eurasia and connected Europe with their Chinese dominion of the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368).[2] Whereas the Byzantine Empire centered in Greece and Anatolia maintained rare incidences of correspondence with the Tang, Song and Ming dynasties of China, the Roman papacy sent several missionaries and embassies to the early Mongol Empire as well as to Khanbaliq (modern Beijing), the capital of the Mongol-led Yuan Dynasty. These contacts with the West were preceded by rare interactions between the Han-period Chinese and Hellenistic Greeks and Romans.

Read the statement from Leonid Brezhnev.
Evgesh-ka [11]

Correct answer:

- To intervene, if necessary, in support of other communist governments.

An example of this approach by Brezhnev can be seen in what happened in Czechoslovakia in 1968. Czechoslovakia's new leader, Alexander Dubcek, promoted reforms, and the people began to move away from communism. This became known as the "Prague Spring." Seeing these actions as a threat to continued communist controlled, Brezhnev responded with force. He sent 600,000 Soviet troops and put down any movement of revolution against communism in Czechoslovakia.

What views are being communicated about the Europeans in their role as imperialists?
BaLLatris [955]

European civilization experienced a period of unprecedented rapid expansion around the globe during the last third of the nineteenth century. European nation-states had become very powerful because of industrialization and because of the organizational efficiency of the nation-state.

European global expansion had actually begun in the fifteenth century, but the process greatly accelerated in the nineteenth century.

Latin America and the seaports of Asia and Africa were the first to be colonized by Europeans. Native Americans were liquidated or thoroughly subjugated to European rule.

Most Latin American descendents (Latinos) of the Spanish conquerors gained independence from Spain by the early 19th century, while many indigenous peoples remained subject.
