Write the following polynomial in standard form 15x4 -6x +13x2-1
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

A polynomial in standard form begins with the term with the largest exponent and the remaining terms in descending order of exponents.

given

15x^{4} - 6x + 13x² - 1 ← x^{4} is largest exponent, hence

15x^{4} + 13x² - 6x - 1  ← in standard form

You have invested $5000 in stocks and bonds. The interest you earned on the stocks was 7%. The interest you earned on the bonds
Sphinxa [80]
Money invested S + B = $5000 - - - - (a)
Money earned can be represented in S & B as follows:
0.07*S + 0.14*B =$500 - - - - (b)

Equations a & b are two equations with two unknowns.

From equation a:
S = 5000 - B
Replace S in equation b
0.07*(5000 - B) + 0.14*B =$500
0.07B = 500 - 350 = $150
B = 150/0.07 = $2142.86
S = 5000 - 2142.86 = $2857.14

Good luck

The ratio of the side lengths of a quadrilateral is 2:3:5:6 and its perimeter is 48 cm. What is the length of the longest side?
Alex17521 [72]
The side lengths are given in proportions which are 2:3:5:6. The perimeter is given as the sum of all the sides which is given as 48 cm. Using ratio and proportion, the sum of all the sides or the perimeter is proportional to the sum of all the fractions and the largest fraction is proportional to the longest side of the quadrilateral.

Let x be the longest side of the quadrilateral. The largest proportion is 6.
6/(2+3+5+6) = 6/16
6/16 = x/48

x= 18 cm. The longest side is 18 cm. The other sides are 6, 9, 15 using the other proportions.
