Please help. Solve the value of x<br>
lutik1710 [3]

Answer:

x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>GIVEN</em></u><em> :-</em>

  • An isosceles triangle with one side extended.
  • Measure of one base angle = 66°
  • Measure of another base angle = m∠2 = 11x°

<u><em>TO FIND</em></u><em> :-</em>

  • Value of x

<u><em>FACTS TO KNOW BEFORE SOLVING</em></u><em> :-</em>

  • An isosceles triangle has 2 equal sides (known as legs) & the third side (known as base).
  • The angle included by the legs is called the vertex angle and the angles that have the base as one of their sides are called the base angles.
  • In an isosceles triangle , base angles are equal in measure.

<u><em></em></u>

<u><em>PROCEDURE</em></u><em> :-</em>

As it's an isosceles triangle , it's base angles are equal .

So, m∠2 = 66°

⇒ 11x = 66

⇒ x = \frac{66}{11} = 6

The graph shows a proportional relationship between the number of workers and weekly cost in dollars for a company. Use the poin
galben [10]

The weekly cost per worker is: <u>$800</u>

Unit rate can be used for <em>calculating expenses, calculating cost of multiple units, or calculating expenses.</em>

<em><u>Recall:</u></em>

Unit rate is calculated using: \mathbf{\frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} }

Unit rate represents the amount of a quantity compared to its unit of measure.

Unit rate can be used for <em>calculating expenses, calculating cost of multiple units, or calculating expenses.</em>

Since the relationship between number of workers and weekly cost is proportional, we would apply \mathbf{\frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1} } in determining the <em>weekly cost per worker</em> using the points, (6, 4800) and (15, 12000):

  • Substitute

Unit rate/weekly cost per worker = \frac{12,000 - 4,800}{15 - 6} = \frac{7,200}{9} = 800

Unit rate/weekly cost per worker = $800

In summary, the weekly cost per worker is: <u>$800</u>

Unit rate can be used for <em>calculating expenses, calculating cost of multiple units, or calculating expenses.</em>

Choose the system of equations which matches the following graph:
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Blue:

y-intercept: (0, 4)

a slope: m = -1/2

The equation: y = -1/2x + 4 |·2

2y = -x + 8 |+x

x + 2y = 8

Red:

y-intercept: (0, 3)

the slope: m = -1/2

The equation: y = -1/2x + 3 |·2

2y = -x + 6 |+x

x + 2y = 6 |·2

2x + 4y = 12

Answer:

x + 2y = 8

2x + 4y = 12
