There was not only one scandal. The Teapot Dome Scandal was one of the many controversial scandals during the presidency of Warren G. Harding. Even his cabinet members were involved in criminal issues. These episodes ruined Harding’s credibility and affected the morale of the administration. During his campaign, Harding promised to his followers that after World War I, America would return to an estability period.
