What is the naturalism point of view that stephen crane envisions in “The Open Boat”?
Finger [1]

Answer:

As a story of naturalism, Crane's characters are left to the randomness of external forces whether that is fate, nature, or a force beyond those two. In the case of “The Open Boat,” the forces operating on the character are largely ones of nature and fate. ... This is the essence of naturalism – a lack of control.

He turned them all away, too ugly, too poor, too sarcastic, too perfect. There was one left. The last princess was very beautiful, she had long raven hair, piercing emerald eyes, and a sweet personality. The princess though seeming perfect, was a witch. The prince decided upon the last princess, who at their ceremony, revealed herself to be a witch. The witch cursed him to be as ugly as his soul.
