Answer:

The first sentence just needs a period. Although, the second sentence is what is wrong here, this is how it should be written, "We sat by the fireplace, ate dinner, and made smores." Because you can't just jam a bunch of words together and hope it makes a sentence, a sentence needs to make sense so the readers and understand what you're writing.

Answer:

The first one needs a period instead of the exclamation point. There isn't an exclamation coming from the sentence, so it doesn't need one to end it.

The second one should should add a comma after fireplace and after dinner.

The reason for the second one is that it is listing different items, so it needs commas.

I hope this helps!

Which sentence demonstrates writing in a style and tone that are most appropriate for an audience of professional scientists?
Blizzard [7]

Answer:

A. The results of the experiment showed a quantifiable decrease in oxygen levels.

Explanation:

The chosen sentence possesses a formal register with technical vocabulary related to science, which can be understood by professional scientists. For instance, the words quantifiable and decrease have a more academic style. Besides, the writing is impersonal and written in the third person.

The rest of the options are incorrect because they have contractions and they are too informal. Thus, their vocabulary contain casual expressions which do not follow the conventions of an academic style.
