Mathematics

You must have the same denominator , for example if you have 3/4+1/2 you would have to multiply 2/2 to 1/2 in order to get 2/4 so they can be added or subtracted or in "harder case like 2/3 - 2/7, you just have to multiply the 3×7 and the 7×3 to get the same denominator which in that case would be 21, I hope I explained that

You can first convert the mixed numbers into fractions and then operate them

if for example you have 3 4/3
to convert it you first multiply the whole by the denominator and then you add the nominator. The denominator is the same.

so 3 4/3=13/3

Find the distance between the two given points. (-6, -5) and (2, 0)
Ipatiy [6.2K]

Answer:

The answer is

<h2>\sqrt{41}  \:  \:  or \:  \:  \: 6.403 \:  \:  \: units</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance between two points can be found by using the formula

d =  \sqrt{( {x1 - x2})^{2} +  ({y1 - y2})^{2}  }  \\

where

(x1 , y1) and (x2 , y2) are the points

From the question the points are

(-6, -5) and (2, 0)

The distance is

d =  \sqrt{ ({ - 6 - 2})^{2} +  ({ - 5 - 0})^{2}  }  \\  =  \sqrt{ ({ - 4})^{2}  +  ({ - 5})^{2} }  \\  =  \sqrt{16 + 25}  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

We have the final answer as

\sqrt{41}  \:  \:  or \:  \:  \: 6.403 \:  \:  \: units

Hope this helps you

Solve the equation using the zero product property -2x(5x-2)=0
anastassius [24]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

- 2x(5x - 2) = 0

Equate each factor to zero and solve for x

- 2x = 0 ⇒ x = 0

5x - 2 = 0 ⇒ 5x = 2 ⇒ x = \frac{2}{5}

Solutions are

x = 0, x = \frac{2}{5}

Using laws of logarithms, write the expression below as a single logarithm.
Bess [88]
If logs are subtracting, you can divide the brackets and if they are adding, you can multiply the brackets. Also, if the number comes before the log, it's can be Taken up as a power. so you end up with:

6log(25-x^2) - [log(5+X) + log(5-X)]

= log(25-x^2) - log(25-x^2)

= log (25-x^2/25-x^2)

= log(1)
