Answer: It was written to balance social relations in the country to ensure basic human rights. The purpose of the thirteenth amendment is to abolish slavery.

Explanation:

The Thirteenth Amendment is one of the most famous amendments to the U.S. Constitution in history. This amendment abolished slavery, except in the case of certain legal proceedings when the accused would be prescribed slavery as a punishment for certain offenses. Until that moment, slavery was an integral part of American life. The new amendments to the United States Constitution laid the foundations of American democracy.

do you believe warfare should be used to gain more territory and add to the prestige of your country?
Leona [35]
No. Initially you gain riches from the resources found in those territories and yes you extend your sphere of influence farther and with it your power increases. Still. Eventually there will come a time when the people of those lands will rise up and demand independence. Through peaceful means at first but if not, they will resort to conflict that will be costly on both sides. Then it will all boil down to whether you want to hold on or release your hold on that territory. If you hold on, they will more determined to break free from that hold. That you gain something through war means you will lose it through war if you don't want to let go.

1. Why do you think fear of communism in the United States increased after 1949?
Pls help
liubo4ka [24]

Answer:

Americans had a number of reasons to fear communism in the 1950s. First, the Soviets had demonstrated in 1949 that they had a nuclear capacity. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were fresh in Americans' minds, leading the US to fear the Soviets would launch a nuclear war with a mutually assured destruction that would destroy both countries.
