What do YOU think the song "Hotel California" by The Eagles Mean?? Because i have to write this out and to figure out what to wr

ite i need to know the meaning behind it.. And people are telling me its about an insane asylum and some are telling me a mental hosptial or just a regular hotel. After reading the whole entire song twenty times i still am lost.

Answer: meaning focuses on the excessive materialism of California. it also hints at the same situation across the nation in the 1970s.in 2007, in an interview with the London Daily Mail, Don Henley approached the issue.                     Hope That Helped
