How did hamilton and jefferson view the common people?
ollegr [7]

Jefferson's views of the common man were that the common man was important in society for keeping and establishing order.  Jefferson believed that the common man is who should have power in the government and have their rights and freedoms protected, as it is stated in The Bill of Rights in The Constitution.

Because Jefferson believed in a more agrarian (or agricultural) society, he believed that it was necessary to give the common man power in government and more say that the wealthy elite.

This contrasts to Hamilton who believed that the wealthy elite should run the government and have more power in the United States.  Hamilton believed in a more industrialized nation run by more well-educated people who had wealth and knowledge and could successfully run the country.  The Constitution would evenly balance the power between the states and the people, according to Hamilton.
