Answer: 1. If I were born in Aztec, I wouldn't be happy because there have been many bad things there, like disease that killed people, and people in Aztec were very brutal.

2. In my opinion, it would probably wouldn't be the life I wished for or the life I wanted.

3.My role would probably be an outgoing person, mature person, and a skilled provider

4.Some disadvantages would be lack of resistance to diseases, human sacrifices, and lack of technology. Some advantages would be a well-organized military, they have a strong empire, and they taught their children history and many things that would make them successful.

5.I would personally like it there because it doesn't sound that bad, but I wouldn't say I like it at some points. But the things I like about it are they have clothing, education, entertainment, food, homes, religion, and work. Those are the most important things to have because you won't have the life you wanted if you don't have them.

6.Something I found interesting about Mayas is that they created a great civilization in the rain forest. Also, in the Aztecs, I found interesting is their famous pyramids and temples. Something I found interesting in the Incas is that they held their empire together by a road system.

Explanation: Hope this helps and gl :)

The framers of the constitution created a system of checks and balances of government could restrain each other. Explain how ea
azamat
Alright. judicial: they can declare laws made by Congress to be unconstitutional, this is called judicial review; they can declare executive orders to be unconstitutional as well. they are limited by the executive branch because the justices of the Supreme coart are put in place by the president and confirmed by Congress. they also have to judge based on the constitution which can be amended.
executive: can check the judicial branch through pardoning orders and choosing new justices, can check the legislative branch through suggesting bills, refusing to sign bills, and executive orders (which interpret how the law is enforced) the executive branch is also checked by the legislative branch in how all cabinet members are approved by Congress and the president can be impeached by Congress as well. it is checked by the judicial branch through judicial review of executive orders.
legislative: can impeach the president, confirm justices and cabinet members, and can change the constitution. checked by presidential veto, judicial review, and well their constituents too. hope this helped.

What connection does that Bible story and Dylan's song have with ethics and the so-called "Divine Command Theory" as espoused by
Darina [25.2K]

The connection is that Dylan's song ("Highway 61 Revisited") and "that Bible story" (Abraham sacrificing Isaac) both point to the ethical idea that doing the right thing means doing whatever it is that is divinely commanded.

Explanation/context:

The origins of "Divine Command Theory" stem back to a dialogue written by Plato, which has the philosopher Socrates engaged in discussion with Euthyphro about the meaning of piety or goodness.  Socrates was being accused of impiety in Athenian court.  Impiety to the Athenians meant conduct that was displeasing to the gods.  At that same time, Euthyphro was at court in Athens to prosecute his own father for having killed a servant.  Socrates asked the kinds of questions he normally did, pressing Euthyphro how he knew that prosecuting his own father was a good thing.  Euthyphro said punishing wrongdoers for wrongdoing was the pious thing to do, no matter who the wrongdoers are.  Socrates then asked Euthyphro to how we know what "piety" is -- and Euthyphro said it was doing that which is dear to the gods.  That's the "divine command" theory in a nutshell.  Bear in mind, as the dialogue between Socrates and Euthyphro continued, there was much more nuanced thought about how well that definition works.  Socrates asked, for instance, "whether the pious or holy is beloved by the gods because it is holy, or holy because it is beloved of the gods."  That became a difficult conundrum for their consideration in the dialogue.

The Abraham story in the Bible follows the "divine command theory" idea. When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac, the fact that God commanded it would make it right, according to divine command theory -- even though the act itself seemed horribly wrong.

Bob Dylan played with that idea in the lyrics to his song, "Highway 61 Revisited," from the album <em>Highway 61 Revisited </em>(1965) ...

<em>Oh, God said to Abraham, "Kill me a son"</em>

<em>Abe said, "Man, you must be puttin' me on"</em>

God said, "No" Abe say, "What?"

God say, "You can do what you want, Abe, but

The next time you see me comin', you better run"

Well, Abe said, "Where d'you want this killin' done?"

God said, "Out on Highway 61"
