Answer:

Frank Delano Roosevelt tried to increase the government budget and allocate them to fund government programs to address the problems during the great depression. This is basically the main idea of the new deals that he created during the presidency.

He increased the government budget by increasing the Tax rate that had to be by the income earners.

In return, he funded several programs to improve the people's standard of living such as Creating work projects to reduce unemployment, providing loans for the people who wanted to purchase houses, providing training and educations for people to learn new skills, etc.
