One of the countries that have not ratified the Kyoto Protocol was the United States.
According to President G.W. Bush, his main reason for refusing to ratify the protocol was because of the impact it would have on the economy of the United States. According to him, the protocol will be a serious harm to the coal industry causing a more dramatic coal to natural gas for electric power generation.

Why did the barons turn against de Montfort?
Olegator [25]

The Second Barons' War (1264–1267) was a civil war in England between the forces of a number of barons led by Simon de Montfort against the royalist forces of King Henry III, led initially by the king himself and later by his son, the future King Edward I. The barons sought to force the king to rule with a council of barons rather than through his favourites.

According to Dr. King, why are the results of violent resistance inferior to those of nonviolent
Mars2501 [29]

First, one can resist evil without resorting to violence. Second, nonviolence seeks to win the “friendship and understanding” of the opponent, not to humiliate him (King, Stride, 84). Third, evil itself, not the people committing evil acts, should be opposed.
