Illegal logging is the cutting down of trees, transporting them, or using their products such as timber for economic gains against the prohibition by law. It involves the use of corrupt ways to reach the forests or protected areas, the harvesting or cutting down of the trees without approval, and selling them elsewhere or in black markets as timber.

The excessive extraction of timber beyond the stipulated limits is equally pronounced as illegal logging. As global demand for comedies such as paper, wood, and palm oil soars, companies and people continue to encroach even deeper into forests, aggravating the illegal logging problem. In this article, we focus on the underlying causes of illegal logging, its effects, and solutions to the pervasive problem.

Answer:

PUT THIS IN YOUR OWN WORDS SO YOU DON'T GET COPYRIGHTED

Mr/Mrs.logger, in this letter I would like to persuade you to stop cutting down trees.  It will help the economy, you can find a new job, and you will understand that being greedy is not okay.  Keep reading on to understand why.  Thank you!

Cutting down trees in this state is illegal.  I understand you are trying to help your family by making money.  But, there are many other ways to do so like, helping people build fences, go to a store and be a cashier, help people move things, etc.  Finding another job could help you put food on your family's table and not send you to jail.

If that didn't persuade you to look at the Amazon Rainforest for refrence, people took down those trees to help support their family but it only ended up destroying another family's home.  All of these creatures lost their homes that they had to keep their family safe, warm, alive.  But, all those loggers did was put these animals on the brink of extinction just to help their own families. And, the Amazon Rainforest is very important and needed in this world.  It is one of the many reasons that earth is habitable, it's water cycle's, the many tree's giving off Co2, it is also home to 30 million people!  and over 10% of the world's biodiversity!  That's a lot.  And, the tree's that you are cutting down could someday be a rainforest that will contain millions of people.  So really think about it, think about what you are doing to the world, think about how you can fix it.

So I hope that I was able to persuade you to learn to do something else that won't ruin or economy, I mean we all mess up with something that will make our Co2 footprint bigger but there are many ways to try and fix that like tyring to make a compost garden, plant a garden, do anything that will help your family and the animals/plants surrounding you.

Answer the following questions: 1. Who was the first person to calculate the circumference of the Earth and coined the word "geo
Maru [420]
The first person to calculate the circumference of the Earth and coined the word "geography" was Eratosthenes. The man who successfully applied his scientific research to create an illustration of the first world map was Anaximander. The person who invented the globe and argued that the representation of the world as a flat, two-dimensional object was not accurate was Ptolemy. He developed the science of geography, although he was better known for his contributions to mathematics was Eratosthenes. The Greek-derived word "geography" means to describe the Earth is correct. China's greatest contribution to geography was the compass. This allowed you to find out which direction you were going extremely easy. The earliest world map ever found was carved on a Babylonian clay tablet that showed Earth as a flat, circular disk, this is correct. It was believed to be created in 6th century BCE. Ptolemy incorporated topography into his maps, which means that the mountain and valley surfaces would appear on the map. This is correct and is the birth or starting of the topological maps! This early group, the Greeks, were the first to use rational thought or logic while investigating the physical world. It is believed that the science of geography originated with each of the following groups except the British. The British are believed to have no contributions to the science of Geography.
