In one lottery, a player wins the jackpot by matching all five numbers drawn from white balls (1 through 41) and matching the nu
puteri [66]

Answer:

1 / 2,787,760,560

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of permutations is:

41 × 40 × 39 × 38 × 37 × 31 = 2,787,760,560

So the probability of winning the jackpot is 1 / 2,787,760,560.

hammer [34]

Answer:

$7.00

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of the apple: $0.75

cost of apricots: $1.50

cost of cherries: $3.25

cost of the bananas: $1.50

Which of the following disjunctions is false ?
notsponge [240]
A disjunction is false if both parts of the disjunction are false; otherwise, it is true
----------------------------------------------
Choice A

4-3=2 is false
6*3=9 is false

both parts are false, so overall the entire disjunction is false
----------------------------------------------
Choice B

5*6=30 is true
3+4=7 is true

Neither part is false, so overall the entire thing is true
----------------------------------------------
Choice C

8+3=11 is true
5*4=23 is false

While second piece is false, the overall disjunction is true. The first part (true) makes the whole thing true.
----------------------------------------------
Choice D

7+6=13 is true
5*2=10 is true

Neither part is false, so overall the entire thing is true
----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------
In summary, we have

A. False
B. True
C. True
D. True

Making choice A the only answer that is false. So choice A is the final answer

Find the value of x and y
Alik [6]

Line EB is the mid segment of the triangle

EB and DC are parallel if angle EBA is equal to angle DCB

so

4x - 3 = 3x + 9  now solve for x

-3x          -3x

    x -3 =  + 9

       -3      -3

    x      =   12

Now I know x and 3x +9, so sub in for x

3(8) + 9 = 32 + 9 = 41

now we know angle EBA

and angle EBA and angle EBC are a linear pair meaning when I add them together they equal 180

so

angle EBA +  angle EBC = 180

     41         +        14y - 5   = 180 now solve for y

     36 + 14y = 180

    -36             -36

             14y = 144

              /14     /14

               y  =  10.28
