Answer:

They must believe that their performance must result in the desired rewards.

Explanation:

According to a different source, these are the options that come with this question:

  • They must believe that they are receiving more rewards than anyone else.
  • The rewards must be fair.
  • They must believe that their performance must result in the desired rewards.
  • The rewards must be distributed equally among all employees.

These are the three requirements for motivated behaviour according ro expectancy theory. Expectancy theory suggests that an individual will act in a particular way because he is motivated to follow a certain behaviour in order to get the results that the behaviour brings. This means that the behaviour is selected because of the outcome it will bring.

The third  is that the rewards are attractive and valuable.

Expectancy Theory argues that the strength of our motivation to act in a specific way depends on the strength of three relationships.

Expectancy: Effort - Performance (E→P)

Instrumentality: Performance - Outcome (P→O)

Valence: V (O)

Why is stress considered both a physiological and a cognitive issue? Use covered theories and provide examples.
finlep [7]

Stress is a physical response of our body to a stimulus. When stressed, the body thinks it is under attack and switches to “fight or flight” mode, releasing a complex mix of hormones and chemicals such as adrenaline, cortisol and norepinephrine to prepare the body for physical action.

Maintaining a state of stress for long periods can be detrimental to health. The results of elevated cortisol levels may be an increase in sugar and blood pressure levels and a decrease in libido.
