What in joseph smith's wentworth letter might offend non-mormon americans?
Nostrana [21]

In Smiths letter it said that "the book of Mormon was as much the word of god as the bible, another thing that was met with outrage was polygamy". This might offend non-Mormon Americans.

It was a letter from Joseph Smith, the founder of the Latter Day Saint movement, to "Long" John Wentworth, editor and owner of the Democratic Party of Chicago in 1842. Wentworth's letter is of immense value to Latter-day Saints. It is the original account of Joseph Smith's sacred calling from God, testifying to his vision, ministry and teachings. It talks about the rise and growth of the church and the persecution of the saints.

Which of the following represents the civic virtur of diversity?
devlian [24]

Answer:

A. Being open to the opinion of others

Explanation:

The civic virtue of diversity posits that people should be able to accept that humans are different and one of the tenets of this school of thought is that one has to be open to the opinion of others without pre-judging such a person.

This does not mean that you have to agree to their opinion but you acknowledge that they have a differing opinion.

Why is my friend justin cracked at fortnite?
Cloud [144]

Answer:

Because he is taken.

Explanation:

My interpretation of this philosophical clip is that Justin, the boy’s friend is “taken” by the grips of the video game Fortnite. We are following Justin’s is in a downward spiral into addiction. Eventually, his previously mentioned friend exclaims he is “cracked” at Fortnite. Now, this can be given many meanings, however the one that stuck out most to me is that eventually, Justin hits rock bottom, and cracks. Now, at this point Justin’s friend, who seems to be narrating Justin’s descent into madness makes abhorrent moaning noises. To me, this represents what is happening in Justin’s mind. He can’t escape his crippling Fortnite addiction. He doesn’t even gain happiness from playing anymore, yet he can’t stop. The moaning noises aren’t indicative of sexual pleasure, but cries for help.
