Simone has 5 employees in her flower shop. Each employee works
Hitman42 [59]
To find the answer of that, you need to multiply 6 4/15 by 5 (can be counted as 5/1)
that will need some steps
----------------------------------------------------------.
step1) convert the mixed numbers into fractions (inproper)
6 4/15 will be converted into 94/15. (this step is explained at the bottom)
-----------------------------------------------------------.
step2) normally multiply numerator with numberator and denominator with denominator.
the answer will be 470/15 which will be simplified into 94/3
-----------------------------------------------------------------.
step3) covert the fraction back to mixed number
that will make it 31 3/4 (but in decimal wise, it will be 31.3 on repeat)
______________________________________________________________
to convert a mixed number into a fraction you will need to:
multiply the denominator with the whole number, and then add the numerator. the denominator of that fraction will be the same denominator it had before.
for example: to convert 3 1/4 into a fraction (improper) you will need to multiply the denominator (4) with the whole number (3) so that will make 12. next you will add the numerator (1) which will make it 13/?. 13 over what? 13 over the same denominator it had before. lets go back and see. so it had 4 as a denominator, so it will be 13/4.
