What would be an example of foreshadowing in a story about a magician who ends up going bad from too much power?

A. The author shows the magician preparing his tricks before a show.

B. The reader is first introduced to the magician having fun scaring

audiences with his tricks.

c. The narrator describes the magician's rise in popularity at the

beginning of the story.

D. The story begins on a cold autumn day in the suburbs of a big city.

Answer:

B. The reader is first introduced to the magician having fun scaring audiences with his tricks

Explanation:

An example of foreshadowing in a story about a magician who ends up going bad from too much power would be when the reader is first introduced to the magician having fun scaring audiences with his tricks.

Foreshadowing is a technique that uses hints or clues to show what is about to happen in the future. Therefore, mentioning a magician that enjoys scaring audiences with his tricks is a good way to foreshadow a magician that goes bad from too much power.

Write A paragraph about the benefits of construction.
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

Although you may not think about it but there are many benefits of construction, now let me show you why. You may think that you don’t use that many things that construction workers build but nowadays people depend on a numerous number of things that they need or use in their daily life such as a home to live in or even a road to get to work or just to travel as is. You may not think about it but most of the things that you use on a daily bias are built by construction workers like an apartment complex or traffic lights keeping you from crashing or they even build something that other people need so that you can use like a bank that stores your money or even a cell phone tower that helps you with calls. People rely on construction workers to build them comfortable homes, safe roads, and bridges, and strong buildings that they will admire and use for many years to come. Construction is helping the economy grow and the construction workers are the reason why that’s possible. How many professionals in other industries can point at the brand-new hospital in town and say, “I helped build that”? Whether it’s a road, a home, a sewage system or a school, the things you build matter to the people in your community.

Read "Seals with high-tech hats are collecting climate

data in the Antarctic," by Katherine J. Wu.

Choose a problem (and solutions) described in the text. Explain what the problem is and why it matters, using

examples, facts, and details from the text. If possible, describe any solutions proposed in the text.

Answer:

The problem was that, because of the low temperatures, collecting data beneath the surface of the Southern Ocean was not possible with the current instruments.

Explanation:

The solution found was to set specialized sensors in elephant seals´heads to trace the variations in temperature while they swim the Antarctic waters.

The findings of this research are important because they should be included in the present climate model, to better understand how climate change is altering the way Antarctic waters, and the entire world´s water, move.
