Answer:

Rainfall and temperature can affect the rate in which rocks weather. High temperatures and greater rainfall increase the rate of chemical weathering. ... Minerals in a rock buried in soil will therefore break down more rapidly than minerals in a rock that is exposed to air.

4. In cats, a gene for coat color is sex-linked. Cats homozygous for allele A have yellow
bogdanovich [222]

Answer:

Explanation:

You can get 1/4 tortoise female; 1/4 black female; 1/4 yellow male; 1/4 black male.

IT IS NOT possible to obtain a tortoise-shell male primarily because to have tortoise shell one has to be heterozygous. In case of males, they are hemizyogous so they only get one chromosome with the gene because they have XY and we know this disease is linked on X chromosome because different combinations give us different colors.

I say they are hemizygous because For example, most of the genes of the X chromosome and Y chromosome in human males are hemizygous since males have only one X chromosome (and one Y chromosome) (unlike females that has two X chromosomes).

An organism's genomic dna is analyzed and found to contain 22% thymine. what percentage of that organism's dna is guanine?
abruzzese [7]
In an organism's genomic data, 100 percent is made up of adenine, cytosine, guanine and thymine. Adenine and thymine are complementary pairs in a DNA so they should have the same concentration in the DNA. This would also be the case for Cytosine and Guanine. We are given 22 percent of thymine so we also have 22% of adenine. This would leave us with only 100-22 = 78 percent for both guanine and cytosine. And since they are present in equal amounts, we simply divide the remaining percentage by two to determine the amount of each. Therefore, there would be 78 / 2 = 39 percent of guanine present in that certain DNA.
