Hi there

(f *g) (x) =3x^2×(x+2)
(f *g) (x)=3x^2×x+3x^2×2
(f *g) (x)=3x^3+6x^2

So it's c

Best of luck!

katrin [286]

Answer:

A= 4

B= 4

C= -1

D= 4

E= -1

F= 4

G= -1

Step-by-step explanation:

The expected value equation is the probability of something happening multiplied by the amount of times it happens. In this case you have four equal sized sections, so you have a one in four chance to land in any of these sections. A, B, D, and F represent the four for this one in four chance. C, E, and G represent the amount of points you get when you land on those sections, in this case -1

Step-by-step explanation:

dog=3x

cat=x

3x+x=32

4x=32

4/4

32/4

x=8

3(8)=24

x=8

So she trained 24 dogs and 8 cats

17. Admission prices to Cinema I to see a movie are $9.50 for an adult and $6.50 for a child. The admission charge at Cinema II
maksim [4K]

Answer:

a. 9.5x + 6.5(x+c) < 8   when c>0

b. Must be one child more than the no. of adults.

Step-by-step explanation:

For Cinema 1:

for adult = $9.50

for child = $6.50

For Cinema 2:

Per person regardless of age = $8.00

First of all, we will find out the condition when per person rates in both cinema are equal.

Assume x = no. of adults

y = no. of children

Rate per person in Cinema I = Rate per person in Cinema II

(9.5x + 6.5y)/(x+y)   =   8

9.5x + 6.5y = 8(x+y)

9.5x + 6.5y = 8x + 8y

9.5x-8x = 8y-6.5y

=> x = y

So rates are equal when no. of adults equals no. of children

For Cinema I to have better rates, no. of children should be atleast 1 more than the no. of adult. In this way the rate per person of Cinema I will be less than 8

Hence we form an inequality when y = x+c and c > 0

9.5x + 6.5(x+c) < 8   when c>0

Hence there must be 1 more children than the no. of adults attending Cinema I for it to be a better deal.

It is not A because the opposite of subtracting 24 is adding 24. So you add 24 to both sides to undo the subtraction. -16+24=8 Then you divide both sides by 8, which gives you y>1. I think you probably subtracted 24 from -16 instead of adding it.*......................................... ...................................................................................................................................... *I'm not sure what to make of the third one, is that a number line or...?*............................... ...................................................................................................................................... *- t/5 ≥15 ........................................................................................................................ -t ≥ 75 MULTIPLY both sides by 5.................................................................................... t ≤ -75 divide both sides by -1, and flip the sign, because when dividing an inequality by a negative number you must flip the sign..............................................................................
