A "timeline" shows how events happened from the beginning until the recent time. It should then follow a<em> "chronological order"</em> or events should be placed <u>in the order of time.</u> Timelines are often used in biographies, an account of person's life that was written by another person. It is also being used in History books in order to tell the course of events, for example from the time the USA was under the British rule up to the time it gained independence.
