What are food enzymes?
Llana [10]

there aren't many enzymes in food, mainly in fruits, the enzymes in friuts are very similar to ptylin found in the mouth that help break down sugar, they do not need to be ingested before they activate, a proof of this is the apple test, buy an apple, take a bite and leave it without covering it for a few minutes, you'll notice that the bitten part starts turning yellowish brown because the enzymes in the apple are already breaking it down.

In summary, they do not need to be ingested before activation, and the major characteristic of an enzyme is that they do not change after they react with (breakdown) food, so they are in the same form before and after they finish breaking down the food.

What is the function of telomerase? What is the function of telomerase? Telomerase is an enzyme that increases the length of lin
sashaice [31]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option-Telomerase is an enzyme that increases the length of linear chromosome ends

Explanation:

Telomerase is a reverse transcriptase enzyme which adds the length of DNA by adding the guanine-rich repetitive sequences called telomeres at 3' end of the DNA.

The enzyme not only adds the telomere but also maintain its length in the organism.  The telomerase activity possesses several roles one of which is that it protects the end of the DNA from DNA damage and neighbouring chromosomes.

Since telomerase adds the repetitive sequences at the end and thus increases the length of the DNA thus is the correct answer.
