ng and happy time. Healthy relationships are a positive part of life. Yet, some relationships are not healthy and can be damaging to the participants. Have you ever known anyone who was in an unhealthy relationship? How can you tell if a relationship is unhealthy?
•The way the people in the relationship treat each other. If one or both people in the relationship constantly criticize or ridicule the other it could be a sign of a unhealthy relationship; this may be because one person in the relationship is insecure and feels the need to put down their partner to make themselves feel better.
•A lack of communication
•Manipulation; if someone in a relationship is manipulative then it is a sign of a unhealthy relationship because their partner is being manipulated into doing things that weren't necessarily their own choice
•Verbal and physical abuse; speaks for itself really
You can tell a relationship is unhappy by many characteristics. Some are bruising's, or a very protective boyfriend. They sometimes use demeaning words, to make this person stay with them because they don't feel safe enough to leave. Or good enough to find someone else to love them.<span />
