It would be an exclamative sentence
Here’s some ideas on what to write about:
1. Everyone deserves a chance at an amazing life, college can open those doors.
2. Not all colleges are the same. There’s a different fit for everyone. For example...Ivy League, state universities, community colleges and technical colleges.
The author described the main character's countrymen as scornful and sometimes doubtful but at the end of the story, the author seems to be pleased with his countrymen.
I'm pretty sure it's "the baby cried" because an independent clause can stand alone and that can stand alone.
