Write an editorial that responds to George Washington's Farewell Address. Explain whether or not you think Washington was correc
nikitadnepr [17]
In my opinion, George Washington's Farewell Address was a fair and clear warning against political parties/alliances. The reason being is because, having all these alliances and political parties would cause a war. If everyone stated their opinions, and someone doesn't like it, then they will fight about it until the conflict is resolved. Republicans formed a number of societies and clubs throughout the nation, which spread criticism of Washington's political decisions. This caused the birth of the Republican Party after Thomas Jefferson resigned from Washington's cabinet. Washington was against the Federalists which caused a little conflict with the Republican Party. Further more, more evidence provides that Washington's address was a fair warning, due to the fact that more conflict grew in his later term of presidency. Battles raged in the press, attacking one's political views. All in all, i would say that Washington's Farewell Address was a fair, and clear warning. It was correct in my opinion. hope this helped, have an amazing day :)

What steps did louis xiv take to increase his royal power? what effects did his actions have on his country?
Marta_Voda [28]

Louis XIV took several steps to increase the power of the French Monarchy. Firstly he to reduce the influence of nobility and increase the power of the monarchy in France. Louis XIV requested all the nobles to live with him in place of Versailles so he could keep an eye on them so that they wouldn't have more power than him. Secondly, Louis XIV placed taxes on both imported and exported goods to collect more money for France. His action laid the groundwork for french revolution because of staggering debts as well as royal abuse of power by the king.

Answer:

Freedom Summer, also known as the Freedom Summer Project or the Mississippi Summer Project, was a volunteer campaign in the United States launched in June 1964 to attempt to register as many African-American voters as possible in Mississippi. Blacks had been restricted from voting since the turn of the century due to barriers to voter registration and other laws. The project also set up dozens of Freedom Schools, Freedom Houses, and community centers in small towns throughout Mississippi to aid the local Black population.

Name three reasons that the Arabs were able to build a large empire.
yulyashka [42]

1.For the first time, a shared faith in Islam allowed the newly organized state to mobilize the military potential of the entire Arab population.

2.The Byzantine and Persian empires were weakened by decades of war with each other and by internal revolts.

3.Merchant leaders of the new Islamic community wanted to capture the profitable trade routes of the Silk Roads.

4.Individual Arabs found in military expansion a route to wealth and social promotion.

5.Expansion provided a common task for the Arab community, which reinforced the fragile unity of the umma.

6.Arabs were motivated by a religious dimension, as many viewed the mission of empire in terms of jihad, bringing righteous government to the peoples they conquered.
