Brass instruments are those having a cupped mouthpiece. Examples include: . Trumpet . Cornet . French horn . Trombone . Baritone horn . Euphonium, and tuba. Brass instruments are made out of metal and the have reeds and most of them have valves. The roman army used early forms of trumpets/bugles in differentsizes. No valves though, as those weren't invented until hundredsof years later. The names of some of these instruments include cornu and buccina.
