This was a very important case because of 2 differences, At the time there was The federalists and the anti federalists. The federalist believed in a strong central government while the others believes in a strong state government. Then later the ratification of the constitution happened. The acts that brought the united states down occurs( the embargo act). Eventually there was a court case called the marbury v madison. This case resulted in judicial review. Without judicial review the united states would not be the same. I say this because the government could have just passed laws whenever.
