B-We but half express ourselves, and are ashamed of that divine idea which each of us represents.

Self-Reliance is an essay written by Waldo Emerson, he was a philosopher that constantly wrote that the human being should follow its own ideas and be itself to its fullest. And this phrase describes him the best because he stated that we were only half us, and tried to match a concept of what society wanted us to be, and that if we conected with our innerself we could realizes how unique and divine each of us are.

Difference between climate and weather?
Alex

Answer:

• Climate is the pattern of weather that the region experiences over a long period. Weather changes from time to time or even moment to moment.

• Climate is the weather of a locality averaged over some period (usually 30 years). Weather varies on short term basis.

• Weather is a combination of wind, temperature, cloudiness, precipitation and visibility. The factors affecting climate are mountain ranges, attitudes, large water bodies.

• Weather is dynamic and always changing whereas climatic is constant for a long time may be years or decades.

• Humid is a type of climate whereas rain is a type of weather.

• For example, if it is cool on a particular day then, we are talking about weather but if it is cool over a season for several months then, we are talking about climate.

• Climate is what you expect according to averages of atmospheric conditions collected over several years at a place. Weather is what you get on a particular day.

• Weather is the exact temperature at a given amount. Climate is the overall temperature at a given area.

• Weather changes but climate is not changeable. Climate is recorded over a period whereas weather is the current condition.

In short, climate is the statistical average weather information in a region, whereas weather is the day-to- day state of the atmosphere at a specific place and time. Climate is a study of climatology and weather is a study of meteorology. Small changes in Earth’s orbital pattern around the Sun can have major effects on climate. Human activities also can affect the climate, especially the actions related to the depletion in the ozone layer is an important factor.

How did Absolutism shape the Court at Versailles under King Louis XIV? Develop your answer in detail
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

Absolutism in the court of King Louis XIV contributed to his monarchical supremacy, particularly over other powerful institutions in France. It equally served to maintain his control over the class of noble elites, as they all resided in court and he could in this way continually observe their activities. Moreover, Louis XIV's aspect of supremacy and power within France gave him a formidable reputation and position throughout Europe.

Versailles itself became an emblem of royal grandeur. The sumptuosity, and splendour of the palace came to represent the elevation of the king's status. The more grand it appeared to the populace and in comparison to other royal courts, the more powerful and eminent Louis XIV would appear as a monarch. The magnificence of the place, a result of his absolutism, also strengthened his absolutism in this regard.

The propaganda necessitated by absolutism promoted an embellished image of the monarch, through art and culture. Through art, King Louis XIV was systematically portrayed as deific and handsome. This facilitated his reign in absolute monarchy.
