Which of the following events occurred after the start of the Revolutionary War?
LuckyWell [14K]

The event that occurred after the start of the Revolutionary War:

Common Sense was published

Here's a list of dates for the events noted.

 • The Stamp Act of 1765 was a measure by British Parliament that levied a direct tax on the American colonies by requiring that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on paper produced in London that featured an embossed revenue stamp. The Stamp Act was repealed in 1766, but at the same time, Parliament issued a Declaratory Act, which stipulated its authority to pass any colonial legislation it saw fit. (The colonists, of course, resented that assertion.)
 • The Boston Tea Party occurred in December, 1773.
 • The Coercive Acts were passed in British Parliament in 1774, in response to the Boston Tea Party.
 • The American Revolutionary War occurred from Apr 19, 1775 to Sep 3, 1783.
 • Thomas Paine's pamphlet Common Sense was originally published January 10, 1776.

Describe how the lives of African Americans were affected by the Civil War.
Rus_ich [418]
The lives of African Americans changed drastically. Although it was a great thing for them to be free, most did not have any other skills. Generations of slavery did not set up the population for success as a whole. A lot of the population went back, even to their original masters, for work. This began what is known as sharecropping. They were allowed to live on and work the land. In exchange, they owned a very small portion of the land and could keep a very small portion of the crop. Although this was much better than being a slave, most African Americans working as sharecroppers did not know better and were often taken advantage of.
