Which resource would best help the student understand the meaning of the volcano's flanks
motikmotik
This discovery activity puts students in the place of real volcanologists by giving them access to real-time data from Kilauea Volcano, Hawaii. They learn about volcano monitoring techniques, study case histories of important volcanic processes, and then form and test hypotheses for past and future volcanic events with multiple instruments and real-time data. Creon claims that the rule of the king must be obeyed even if it’s wrong in order to avoid anarchy and chaos. Does the play agre
slava [35]

Answer:

The play does not agree with Creon

Explanation:

In Oedipus Rex, Creon takes over Thebes as king. The city-state is mired with terrible plague due to Oedipus' murdering his father and marrying his own mother. Amidst power struggle between two sons of Oedipus and their killing, Creon inherits a disastrous state and wants to restore peace and normalcy. In Antigone, he issues a decree against the proper burial of Polynices, the son of Oedipus which Antigone, the daughter opposes. Tiresias' prophecy, Antigone's dissent and Haemon's advice failed to move Creon to change his decision.

The play sends the message that if a king is so adamant in putting his rule into action above a moral standpoint and laws of the gods he is doomed to bring corruption and disaster. Creon reject Antigone;s appeal for she says 'her crime is holy'; he rejects god's will as well. Hence, Creon blames himself for the deaths of his wife, son and Antigone.
